What is VAX-D Treatment?

VAX-D is a non-surgical treatment developed for the management of disabling low back pain. VAX-D Treatment is designed to relieve pressure on structures that may be causing low back pain. It relieves the pain associated with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome and radicular pain. 

VAX-D achieves its effects through decompression of intervertebral disc and face joints, that is, unloading due to distraction and positioning on the VAX-D Table. This breakthrough was developed by Dr. Allan Dyer, former Deputy Minister of Health who pioneered research on the heart defibrilator used around the world. Research to develop the treatment was conducted over a period of six years with combined efforts of physicians, engineers, and technicians at major teaching hospitals. 

Can VAX-D Work For you?

VAX-D treatment provides relief for patients suffereing from the common causes of low back pain and radicular pain. These conditions include disc that are herniated or degenerated, as well as posterior facet syndromes. Many people with these diagnoses experience relief of their pain. Posterior facet syndrome respond to distraction achieved through VAX-D Treatment. A VAX-D clinic practitioner will determine your course of treatment and whether or not you are a candidate. Patients with certain conditions such as tumors, fractures, gross osteoporosis or par defects are not candidates for this treatment. 

About VAX-D

All treatments are administered with patients fully clothed. However, two-piece clothing, that is separated at the waist, is most comfortable.
